LIRE is a Lao non for profit organization, dedicated to the sustainable development of a self sufficient renewable energy sector and water sanitation in the Lao PDR. The institute offers technological, socioeconomic and agronomical applied research services, and works to provide free public resources. LIRE is based in Vientiane. Due to expansion of its project areas, our team is seeking a Community Facilitator preferable experienced in the water and sanitation sector, to be based in Vientiane Capital
Job Position Profile
• To facilitate the implementation of Decentralized Wastewater Treatment System (DEWATS) / Community Based Sanitation (CBS)
• Presenting the concept of DEWATS CBS implementation to the representatives of the local community
• Preparing schedules for meetings with the local community
• Assisting the community to prepare action plan of DEWATS CBS
• Assisting and organizing the organization of fund allocation for the implementation of DEWATS CBS
• Conducting trainings of DEWATS CBS at community level
• Informing the Coordinator of DEWATS CBS on the accomplished jobs
• Documenting all matters discussed in meetings
• Helping with translation of DEWATS team (Lao-English and vice versa)

• Ability to read, write and speak in both English and Lao languages and do translation
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Relevant Bachelor of Arts or Rural Development. in a relevant field of expertise
• Experienced in participatory community facilitation
• Good team spirit, ability to work independently
• Advanced computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Willingness to learn new knowledge, especially in wastewater treatment & sanitation
• Ability to produce progress reports/take minute of meeting
• Motivated to perform tasks according to adaptable Quality Management Standard and Time Schedule
