Background
CARE International in Lao PDR has been working on two pilot activities
(in markets and backyard poultry slaughterhouses) related to the poultry
trade chain. The activities reduce the risks of avian influenza for those
working within the poultry trade chain and promote a safer environment
for food preparation and sale. Markets activities were conducted in 3
markets (Ban Keun, Thangone and Km 52), and work was undertaken with
19 backyard poultry slaughterhouses in Vientiane Capital.

Assignment: Purpose
To promote sustainability CARE is producing a short documentary of the
activities which can be used by partners for training purposes

Overall Task
To film key activities of the Community Based Avian Influenza Risk Reduction
Project (CBAIRRP) healthy markets and backyard poultry slaughterhouse
approaches and produce a video documentary.
