ເພື່ອທີ່ຈະໄປເຮັດວຽກກັບ Médecins du Monde (MdM) ຢູ່ທີ່ ຈໍາປາສັກ

Médecins du Monde (MdM) is a non-profit association registered in France since 1980 as a humanitarian association officially recognized to serve public purposes. For 30 years Médecins du Monde has been involved in: (1) treating the most vulnerable populations, (2) bearing witness to obstacles encountered to health care access and (3) obtaining sustainable improvements to health policies and medical practices so as to attain equal access to health care for all.

MdM is currently opening a Pilot safe motherhood program in Champassak province, Lao PDR. The overall objective of the program is to contribute in reducing maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality in the targeted districts in Champassak province.

For that purpose, MdM is looking for a Medical coordinator assistant to assist the medical coordinator with overall management of the project in Pakse and to establish good communication with local authorities and Development Partners.
Major duties are:
• To manage the medical team in collaboration with the medical coordinator;
• To assist the medical coordinator with establishing and maintaining contacts and good working relations with all relevant authorities and with other agencies;
• To support the coordinator to implement the medical activities (surveys, training, supervision…);
• To collect and analyze data;
• To write report in English and Lao;
• To provide day to day translation and interpretation support to the medical coordinator.

Qualifications required are:
• Medical background (doctor, skilled birth attendant, professional nurse);
• Prior experience working with an NGO/International Organizations
• Demonstrated high level of written English language skills, including the ability to provide translation support; French is an asset
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Human qualities and respect for patients, beneficiaries and MDM team members;
• Personal skills: excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen; diplomacy, anticipation, adaptability; organisational skills; good writing and communication skills, team spirit;
• Computer literate (at least office package) in Lao and English
• Readiness to live in Pakse with frequent travels to the field;
• Understanding and adherence to MDM principles
